  • • As the Product Manager for Main App Onboarding at Crypto.com, you will be the visionary leader and strategic driver behind the user's initial journey into our expansive cryptocurrency ecosystem. You are the architect of the "First Mile," responsible for shaping and optimizing the critical window from the moment a user downloads our application to the pivotal point where they successfully complete their first trade. This role is paramount to our growth strategy, as a smooth and intuitive onboarding experience is directly correlated with user acquisition, retention, and overall platform engagement.
  • • You will navigate the intricate and often challenging intersection of global regulatory compliance, robust fraud prevention mechanisms, and the delivery of a world-class User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX). Your primary objective is to ensure that every new user, regardless of their technical proficiency or prior crypto knowledge, has a seamless, secure, and empowering entry into the world of digital assets.
  • • This is a highly cross-functional role, demanding close collaboration with a diverse array of talented individuals. You will work hand-in-hand with our exceptional engineering teams to translate product vision into tangible, scalable solutions. You will partner with our brilliant design team to craft intuitive and engaging user flows that minimize friction and maximize clarity. Furthermore, you will collaborate with data analysts to derive actionable insights from user behavior, with marketing teams to ensure our onboarding messaging is compelling and effective, and with legal and compliance experts to ensure adherence to all relevant global regulations.
  • • Your responsibilities will extend across the entire product lifecycle. You will be instrumental in defining the product strategy and roadmap for the onboarding experience, identifying key user pain points and opportunities for improvement through a combination of user research, data analysis, and market understanding. You will translate these insights into detailed product requirements, user stories, and specifications that guide the development process.
  • • You will be the champion for our users, advocating for their needs and ensuring that the onboarding process is not just functional but also delightful. This involves a deep understanding of user psychology, behavioral economics, and the principles of effective user-centered design. You will continuously iterate on the onboarding flow, leveraging A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies to optimize conversion rates, reduce drop-off points, and enhance user satisfaction.

  • • You will also play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate fraudulent activities during the onboarding phase, ensuring the security and integrity of our platform and protecting our users.   • • Success in this role will be measured by key performance indicators (KPIs) such as user activation rates, completion rates of KYC (Know Your Customer) and other verification steps, time-to-first-trade, and overall user satisfaction scores within the onboarding funnel.   • • You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of our target user segments and tailoring the onboarding experience to meet their diverse needs and expectations.
  • • You will work to simplify complex processes, such as understanding different wallet types, transaction fees, and regulatory requirements, making them accessible and understandable for a mainstream audience.

  • • You will be a key stakeholder in defining the success metrics for the onboarding funnel and will be responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting on these metrics to the wider team and leadership.

  • • You will foster a culture of continuous improvement within the onboarding product area, encouraging experimentation and learning from both successes and failures.
  • • You will be the go-to expert for all aspects of the main app onboarding experience, providing insights and guidance to cross-functional teams.
  • • You will ensure that the onboarding experience is localized and culturally relevant for our diverse global user base, working with localization teams to adapt content and flows as needed.
  • • You will contribute to the development of a robust and scalable onboarding infrastructure that can support rapid user growth and evolving product requirements.
  • • You will be responsible for managing the backlog for the onboarding product area, ensuring that priorities are aligned with strategic objectives and that development resources are utilized effectively.

  • • You will be responsible for defining the user experience for account recovery and security settings during the initial setup, ensuring users can secure their accounts from the outset.
  • • You will work to optimize the performance of the onboarding flow, ensuring fast loading times and a smooth user experience even on lower-end devices or in areas with limited bandwidth.
  • • You will be a key contributor to shaping the future of how users enter the world of cryptocurrency, making it more accessible, secure, and user-friendly for everyone.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Proven experience as a Product Manager, with a strong track record of successfully launching and iterating on consumer-facing mobile applications.
  • • Deep understanding of user onboarding flows, user experience (UX) design principles, and conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, data analytics, marketing, legal, and compliance.
