  • • As a Product Manager focused on Restaurant Operations and Point of Sale (POS) solutions at PAR Technology, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of restaurant technology. For over four decades, PAR has been at the forefront of empowering restaurant brands globally, enabling them to forge enduring connections with their patrons. Our commitment to innovation and excellence delivers comprehensive software and hardware that facilitates seamless customer experiences and fuels growth for a vast network of over 100,000 restaurants across more than 110 countries. You will embody our 'Better Together' ethos by contributing to our Unified Customer Experience solutions, which integrate point-of-sale systems, digital ordering platforms, loyalty programs, and back-office software, complemented by industry-leading hardware and drive-thru technologies.
  • • In this pivotal role, you will own and meticulously prioritize the product backlog for our Restaurant Operations and POS solutions. Your primary objective will be to ensure that every user story and feature development directly addresses real-world operational challenges and aligns with the practical workflows of a busy restaurant environment. You will be the driving force behind the product vision and roadmap, maintaining a laser focus on the needs of restaurant operators, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring unparalleled usability for all users.
  • • You will serve as the internal subject matter expert for restaurant operations and POS systems. Your deep, insider knowledge of how restaurants function – from the intricacies of the kitchen to the efficiency of the cash wrap – will be the cornerstone of your contributions. This expertise will inform every feature, workflow, and user experience we develop, ensuring our solutions are not just functional but truly indispensable.
  • • Leading an Agile (Scrum) team, you will be responsible for driving feature definition, meticulous prioritization, and the successful delivery of high-impact features. This involves translating high-level strategic goals into clear, actionable, user-centric deliverables that can be rapidly iterated upon and refined based on feedback.
  • • A critical aspect of your role will be to engage deeply and consistently with our customers. This includes direct interaction with restaurant operators, franchisees, store managers, and front-line staff. Through these engagements, you will uncover critical pain points, validate proposed solutions, and gather invaluable insights that will guide product development and ensure market relevance.
  • • You will be the central communicator, adept at translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms for non-technical stakeholders and articulating operational needs to engineering teams. This involves clearly communicating priorities, development progress, and product roadmaps to stakeholders at all levels of the organization, fostering alignment and transparency.
  • • Collaboration is key to success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, customer support, and sales. Your goal will be to ensure the delivery of a cohesive, reliable, and exceptional product experience that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
  • • Post-launch, you will actively track feature adoption and performance metrics. By gathering and analyzing user feedback, you will drive continuous improvement cycles, ensuring our solutions remain at the cutting edge and continue to provide significant value to our customers. Your work will directly impact the daily operations of thousands of restaurants, making their businesses more efficient, profitable, and enjoyable for both staff and customers.
  • • If you possess an intimate understanding of what it's like to be behind the counter, manage a busy shift, or operate a POS terminal, you will find this role incredibly rewarding and feel right at home within our dynamic team.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5-8 years of experience in product management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering software solutions specifically for the restaurant industry.
  • • Hands-on experience in restaurant operations and a deep, practical understanding of POS workflows, including the dynamics of a busy shift, staff requirements, and operator expectations.
  • • Solid technical understanding to effectively partner with and guide engineering teams in the development of robust software solutions.
  • • Strong experience with Agile development methodologies, particularly Scrum, and proficiency in backlog management.
  • • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively translate between operational stakeholders, technical teams, and executive leadership.
  • • Proficiency with product planning and management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Product Board.

🏖️ Benefits

  • • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
  • • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
  • • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday schedule.
  • • Opportunities for professional development and career advancement within a leading technology company.
  • • Remote work flexibility, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
  • • Collaborative and inclusive work environment that values innovation and teamwork.
