Full Job Description
đ Description
- ⢠Product Manager (Remote) at Availity, LLC â a mission-driven healthcare technology leader connecting over 2 million providers and processing 12 billion transactions annually. This role is pivotal in transforming healthcare by building scalable, end-to-end platform capabilities that close the provider-payer gap and empower better patient care through innovation, not just incremental features.
- ⢠You will own product outcomes from discovery to delivery for mission-critical, technically complex products in areas including API/developer experience, workflow automation, eligibility & benefits, insurance discovery, and payer-provider collaboration. Your work will directly shape Availityâs evolution from disconnected point solutions to a unified, scalable platform that serves as the backbone of healthcare engagement.
- ⢠Day-to-day responsibilities include: synthesizing customer needs, market data, and business context to set clear product direction; leading cross-functional teams (engineering, design, sales, marketing) through influence without formal authority; driving execution in ambiguous environments by making principled trade-offs and maintaining momentum; rapidly ramping into new domains to develop deep working knowledge of Availityâs platforms and healthcare ecosystem; communicating product decisions, risks, and priorities clearly and credibly to senior leaders; raising the product bar by modeling ownership, learning agility, and high standards for thinking and delivery; and contributing to the evolution of Availityâs product organization by shaping how great product work gets done.
- ⢠Youâll join a global, remote-first team headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, with offices in Bangalore, India, and a distributed workforce across the U.S., united by a culture of innovation, collaboration, and impact. Availity is a certified âGreat Place to Workâ with active Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, a Young Professionals Group, She Can Code IT, and a strong commitment to continuous learning and community engagement.
- ⢠In this role, you will develop deep expertise in healthcare technology platforms, payer and provider workflows, and scalable platform product management. Youâll gain experience influencing architecture and scalability decisions, measuring success through adoption and long-term impactânot just feature deliveryâand operating as a senior individual contributor who drives outcomes through influence, not authority. This is a high-impact opportunity to advance your career while contributing to meaningful change in one of the nationâs most critical industries.
đŻ Requirements
- ⢠Bachelorâs degree required; Masterâs degree preferred (MBA, MS, or equivalent)
- ⢠Over 3 years of product management experience delivering technology-driven products or platforms; healthcare experience ideal but not required
- ⢠Proven experience launching and scaling new tech products in technology, financial services, healthcare technology, or top-tier consulting, working on enterprise products
- ⢠Ownership and track record of delivering strong platform capabilities (e.g., APIs, data platforms, workflow platforms) that enable multiple downstream products, teams, and customers
- ⢠Outstanding learning agilityâability to go from zero to deep understanding quickly
- ⢠Strong product judgment and craftâframing ambiguous problems, making principled trade-offs, and driving decisions grounded in customer, business, and technical reality
- ⢠Ability to operate as a senior individual contributor: setting direction, driving alignment, leading teams, and delivering outcomes without relying on formal authority
- ⢠Deep partnership experience with engineering, design, and data, with sufficient technical fluency to influence architecture, sequencing, and scalability decisions
- ⢠Experience measuring success through adoption, leverage, and long-term impact, not just feature delivery
- ⢠Comfort operating in highly ambiguous environments where the âright answerâ must be discovered, not assigned
- ⢠Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to simplify complex ideas and influence senior stakeholders
- ⢠Demonstrated history of high achievement and consistent career progression
