  • • As a Product Manager (SaaS) at Cision, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our communication intelligence solutions. This is a unique opportunity to manage the entire lifecycle of products within an assigned portfolio, from the initial spark of an idea through strategy development, rigorous development, successful launch, and continuous enhancement. You will be instrumental in driving innovation and ensuring our products not only meet but exceed market expectations and business objectives.
  • • You will collaborate closely with a diverse range of cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer success. Your ability to translate complex customer needs and market opportunities into clear, actionable product requirements will be crucial. By fostering a deep understanding of our users and the competitive landscape, you will guide the development of products that deliver tangible value and drive significant business impact.
  • • A core responsibility will be to define, refine, and meticulously execute product strategies and roadmaps. These strategies must be tightly aligned with Cision's overarching business goals, ensuring that every product decision contributes to our long-term vision. You will be empowered to conduct in-depth market and customer research, identifying untapped opportunities, validating product hypotheses, and informing critical prioritization decisions that shape our product backlog.
  • • You will partner intimately with our engineering and design departments to transform the product vision into tangible features, detailed requirements, and elegant solutions. This involves managing the intricacies of the product development lifecycle, from prioritizing the product backlog and planning releases to ensuring comprehensive launch readiness. Your oversight will ensure that development cycles are efficient and that products are delivered with quality and on time.
  • • Continuous monitoring of product performance is key. You will leverage both qualitative insights and quantitative metrics to assess adoption, user satisfaction, and overall business impact. Based on these insights, you will proactively adjust product strategies and roadmaps to optimize performance and maximize value for our customers and the business.
  • • Effective collaboration extends to all internal stakeholders. You will work closely with sales, marketing, finance, legal, operations, and customer success teams to support go-to-market activities, develop compelling product messaging, and ensure seamless product enablement across the organization. Your role is to be the central hub for product information and strategy.
  • • You will serve as the unwavering voice of the customer within Cision, championing their needs and advocating for their experience. This advocacy will extend both internally, ensuring all teams understand the customer perspective, and externally, through presentations and engagement with industry forums and clients.
  • • Beyond specific product responsibilities, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our product management practices. This includes sharing knowledge, mentoring peers, and actively participating in the development of organizational best practices, ensuring Cision remains at the forefront of product management excellence.
  • • This is a part-time, fixed-term position, working 3 days a week for up to 12 months, offering a focused yet flexible engagement. You will be empowered to make significant contributions within this defined period, driving key product initiatives forward.
  • • You will be responsible for ensuring that our products not only meet current market demands but also anticipate future trends, positioning Cision as a leader in the evolving communication intelligence space. This involves staying abreast of technological advancements and competitive movements to maintain our market edge.
  • • The role demands a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks associated with product development and launch, ensuring smooth execution and successful outcomes. You will be expected to navigate complex challenges with strategic foresight and decisive action.
  • • You will contribute to the definition and refinement of pricing and packaging strategies, ensuring our offerings are competitive and aligned with market value, thereby maximizing revenue potential and customer acquisition.
  • • A key aspect of the role involves fostering strong relationships with key customers and partners, gathering feedback, and identifying opportunities for co-creation or strategic enhancements that drive mutual benefit and strengthen Cision's ecosystem.
  • • You will be instrumental in developing and executing comprehensive product launch plans, coordinating across departments to ensure a successful market entry and sustained momentum post-launch.
  • • The position requires a deep understanding of the SaaS business model and its unique challenges and opportunities, enabling you to make informed strategic decisions that drive recurring revenue and customer lifetime value.
  • • You will be expected to contribute to the development of business cases for new product initiatives, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and financial projections, to secure investment and stakeholder buy-in.
  • • Ultimately, your success will be measured by the successful delivery of products that delight customers, achieve strategic business objectives, and solidify Cision's position as a market leader.
