đź“‹ Description
- • As a Product Ops Manager in the Accept team at Primer Technologies, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the operational backbone of a world-class payment infrastructure that enables merchants to optimize their payment stacks, increase success rates, and build differentiated commerce experiences. Your work will directly contribute to Primer’s mission of making complex payment systems simple, scalable, and reliable across providers, methods, and markets.
- • You will independently diagnose and solve complex operational problems by synthesizing delivery data, team feedback, and product context, ensuring that operational challenges are addressed at their root rather than worked around, and that solutions are scalable and sustainable.
- • You will own a defined operating remit that persists across quarters—such as planning cadence, delivery metrics, decision forums, or tooling strategy—ensuring consistency and predictability in how the team executes its roadmap.
- • You will design scalable systems and processes that reduce toil and unlock leverage for the product team, anticipating second-order effects and dependencies to prevent future bottlenecks and enable long-term velocity.
- • You will lead multiple high-impact operational initiatives with measurable improvements to team velocity, decision speed, or process efficiency, taking end-to-end ownership from ideation through implementation and sustained adoption.
- • You will exercise judgment on which problems to solve versus defer, escalating when solutions affect other teams or require leadership alignment, ensuring cross-functional harmony and strategic prioritization.
- • You will plan and deliver operating initiatives end to end within your remit, working in short cycles while maintaining a 3- to 6-month view to balance immediate needs with long-term strategic goals.
- • You will orchestrate several concurrent initiatives across multiple sub-areas—including Primer Checkout, Payment Processing, Payments API, Tokenization, BIN Data, 3D Secure, Developer Tools, Public Docs, Payment List & Timeline, Loyalty & Workflows Engine—making real-time trade-offs and sequencing decisions to hit critical deadlines without compromising quality.
- • You will design and implement new processes that improve execution consistency or velocity, being accountable for sustained adoption, not just initial rollout, ensuring that improvements become embedded in team culture.
- • You will anticipate risks and adapt execution when priorities shift, fixing broken processes rather than working around them, demonstrating resilience and proactive problem-solving in a fast-moving environment.
- • You will balance speed and rigor based on context, incorporating learnings to continuously improve processes, fostering a culture of iterative improvement and operational excellence.
- • You will evaluate and implement new tools independently, partnering effectively with engineering and data teams on integration and adoption, ensuring that tooling enhances rather than hinders workflow.
- • You will apply strong data fluency to build analytical models that surface insights and leading indicators, using data to assess impact, guide iteration, and make evidence-based recommendations.
- • You will build deep expertise in specific operational areas, becoming a go-to resource for your team and earning trust through consistent, high-quality output.
- • You will design operating systems that teams rely on, validated through usage and measurable outcomes, automating repetitive tasks to reduce toil and free up capacity for higher-value work.
- • You will influence product priorities and team decisions through data-driven insights and clear operational narratives, bridging the gap between execution and strategy.
- • You will build trust across functions through consistency and follow-through, operating independently while surfacing risks with clear options and recommendations, becoming a trusted partner in cross-functional collaboration.
- • You will join a remote-first, globally distributed team that values flexibility, autonomy, and mission-driven work, where your contributions are recognized and your growth is supported through intentional culture and investment in people.
- • You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a high-impact, fast-scaling fintech environment, gaining exposure to complex payment systems, cutting-edge infrastructure, and world-class investors including Accel, Balderton, Iconiq, and Tencent.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience in product operations, technical program management, or a similar role within a fast-paced technology or fintech environment, with a track record of designing and implementing scalable processes that improve team velocity and decision-making.
- • Strong data fluency and analytical skills, including the ability to build models, interpret metrics, and use data to drive operational improvements and influence product strategy.
- • Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose complex operational problems, synthesize diverse inputs (delivery data, team feedback, product context), and own end-to-end initiatives from conception to sustained adoption.
- • Experience leading multiple concurrent initiatives across interconnected systems (e.g., payment processing, APIs, developer tools, workflows) with the ability to prioritize, sequence, and make real-time trade-offs under ambiguity.
- • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust across functions, present clear operational narratives, and align stakeholders around data-driven decisions.
- • Comfort with remote-first work and navigating ambiguity, with a mindset focused on fixing broken processes rather than working around them.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Fully remote and globally distributed work model since day one, with access to co-working spaces worldwide and support for thoughtful face-to-face time through annual company retreats and workstations.
- • Competitive share options, allowing you to share in Primer’s long-term success as a category-defining payments infrastructure company.
- • Uncapped holiday policy with a minimum of 25 days required to be taken, promoting true rest and work-life harmony.
- • £500 home office setup stipend to ensure you have the tools needed to thrive in a remote environment.
- • Generous learning budget for continuous skill development, including courses, certifications, conferences, and books relevant to your role and growth.
- • Private Medical Insurance to support your health and wellbeing, regardless of location.
- • Best-in-class equipment for your role, ensuring you have the hardware and software necessary to perform at your highest level.
- • Access to a broad set of additional perks and benefits depending on location, reflecting Primer’s commitment to holistic employee support.
