📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end development of Jerry.ai’s AI platform and customer-facing AI agent experiences, from roadmap creation to full-scale rollout.
• Design and optimize prompt strategies, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails for LLM-driven systems that automate over 70% of inbound sales and service requests (50k+ chats/month).
• Partner directly with engineering teams to balance latency, cost, and accuracy in AI system performance while scaling production-grade AI workflows.
• Serve as the primary technical translator between engineering and cross-functional teams, establishing platform standards and AI best practices across the organization.
• Drive systematic improvements in answer quality, customer satisfaction, and automation rates through rigorous A/B testing, data analysis, and iterative experimentation.
• Collaborate with OpenAI to evaluate, test, and deploy next-generation voice models and computer-use agents for integration into the ChatGPT App and Jerry’s proprietary platform.
• Own the unified AI platform strategy, consolidating fragmented prompt systems currently spread across six separate locations into a single source of truth.
• Define the product roadmap for emerging AI capabilities including voicebots, computer use agents, and consumer-facing AI applications.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders across product, marketing, and operations.
• Maintain deep familiarity with the latest LLM releases, model capabilities, and AI tooling, proactively identifying and integrating new advancements into Jerry’s stack.
• Build and scale AI systems that automate critical customer journeys including insurance quoting, vehicle photo validation, maintenance scheduling, and claims support.
• Champion data-driven decision-making by using SQL to analyze system performance, customer feedback, and automation metrics to validate hypotheses and guide product direction.
• Navigate technical tradeoffs pragmatically, prioritizing scalable solutions that deliver measurable impact on customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Lead initiatives that redefine how car owners interact with insurance, maintenance, and financing services through seamless, AI-powered automation.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a technical role such as forward-deployed engineering, technical product management, or similar at a fast-paced startup
• Passion and deep curiosity for AI systems, including modern LLMs, agent architectures, and prompt engineering
• Proven track record of turning complex, strategic AI ideas into scalable, production-grade products
• Familiarity with SQL and experience using data to validate hypotheses and drive product decisions
• Comfort with technical conversations around API design, system architecture, and AI system tradeoffs
• Experience working with external AI partners such as OpenAI or similar platform providers
