Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • The Product Design Manager is a hybrid ownership role responsible for product outcomes end-to-end - from early concept and UX exploration through to delivery, release, and production performance.
- • At Sitemate, Product Design Managers combine UX/UI design expertise with product ownership and delivery management.
- • You’ll work in small, high-trust teams alongside engineers to define problems, design solutions, shape requirements, plan delivery, and take responsibility for what ships - including how it performs once live.
- • Design, product, and delivery are not separate disciplines here; they are one integrated role.
- • We believe the future of product teams - especially in an AI-accelerated world - belongs to builders who can own all three.
- • As a Product Design Manager, you will be responsible for preparing high-level concept designs for internal review and customer validation, conducting customer research when required, preparing detailed UX flows and high-fidelity UI designs, creating information architecture (IA) diagrams, defining and reviewing feature scope and acceptance criteria, working closely with engineers and peers to plan, prioritise, and deliver work, reviewing completed engineering work, monitoring released features and reporting on usage metrics, identifying and raising UX gaps, quality issues, and edge cases, monitoring production support issues and triaging fixes, maintaining regular collaboration with product/design leadership, communicating clearly in writing (Slack, Confluence, Jira).
- • The role requires a strong ownership mindset with accountability for outcomes, experience leading product delivery end-to-end (Product Owner or similar), proactive in experimenting with AI tools to drive efficiency, proficient in Figma, including UI libraries and design systems, strong UX/UI fundamentals with a user-centred approach, experience designing web and/or mobile applications, excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable with ambiguity and pragmatic trade-offs, strong visual design skills and attention to detail.
- • The ideal candidate will be a product-minded person who enjoys owning product outcomes end-to-end, a designer who wants deeper accountability and delivery ownership, a product thinker who is comfortable moving between UX, scoping, and execution, an individual energised by pace and shipping.
