Product Owner II - Commercial Treasury Data Store

📋 Description

• • Own the vision and roadmap for a large product or set of products within Commercial Treasury Data Store, ensuring alignment with company strategy and customer value delivery.
• • Serve as the primary voice of the customer and stakeholders, translating needs into clear product requirements and prioritizing the product backlog accordingly.
• • Write detailed user stories and define acceptance criteria to support Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD) practices.
• • Collaborate directly with agile delivery teams to groom backlogs, clarify requirements, and drive iterative product development.
• • Create and maintain information radiators and communication tools to visually track and communicate progress on complex, multi-team products.
• • Participate fully in all agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• • Influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders across organizational boundaries without direct authority, advocating for customer-centric outcomes.
• • Apply design thinking methods and analytics to inform product decisions, focusing on measurable outcomes rather than output volume.
• • Coordinate with other Product Owners to align customer journeys and interdependent backlogs across product domains.
• • Act as a proxy for the Senior Product Owner in their absence, assuming full responsibility for product direction and delivery.
• • Ensure all product activities comply with M&T Bank’s risk, regulatory, and internal control standards, identifying and escalating issues as needed.
• • Promote an inclusive, belonging-focused work environment that reflects M&T Bank’s brand values.
• • Maintain adherence to internal and external audit requirements and regulatory directives applicable to the product domain.
• • Engage directly with customers to understand their evolving needs and incorporate feedback into product evolution.
• • Manage product activities through influence, accountability, and ownership in a matrixed, agile environment with no direct reports.
• • Possess and apply subject matter expertise specific to Commercial Treasury Data Store systems and processes.
• • Balance competing priorities in a fast-changing landscape to deliver high-impact outcomes within defined strategic goals.
