đź“‹ Description

  • • ReflectionAI Inc. is at the forefront of developing open-weight AI models, aiming to build and democratize access to superintelligence. Our mission is to create AI systems that will not only redefine product development but also significantly influence the global evolution of AI governance. As open-weight models gain traction in enterprise and national security sectors, the coming 6-12 months are critical. During this period, regulatory bodies will solidify their stances, enterprises will establish procurement standards, and competitors will shape the public discourse. To navigate this complex landscape, we are seeking a highly skilled Product Policy Lead to bridge the gap between research, product development, and policy.
  • • This pivotal role will be responsible for establishing and maintaining robust governance frameworks, developing essential technical policy artifacts, and crafting compelling public-facing narratives. The objective is to enable ReflectionAI to deploy its AI models safely, build trust with stakeholders, and achieve widespread adoption without encountering regulatory roadblocks. This is not a conventional policy or trust and safety position; it is a product-embedded leadership role. The Product Policy Lead will translate emerging AI governance expectations into concrete product requirements, define stringent release standards, and produce clear technical communications, including blog posts and technical specifications. These outputs will be crucial for engaging with regulators, enterprises, researchers, and developers.
  • • **Own Product-Embedded Governance:**
  • • Define, implement, and continuously refine ReflectionAI's product governance framework specifically for open-weight AI models. This includes establishing clear specifications for models, setting high standards for transparency, defining rigorous release criteria, and providing comprehensive usage guidance.
  • • Actively translate evolving regulatory requirements, safety considerations, and enterprise trust expectations into actionable product requirements that are seamlessly integrated into ReflectionAI's product roadmap.
  • • Develop and enforce robust launch-readiness standards that strike an optimal balance between advanced AI capabilities, stringent safety protocols, and the velocity required for market adoption.
  • • **Build the Technical Policy Narrative Engine:**
  • • Design, develop, and manage a comprehensive technical blog and publication framework. This system will transform raw research outputs, evaluation results, and safety findings into clear, credible, and reusable policy-relevant artifacts.
  • • Collaborate closely with the Research team to shape academic papers, technical evaluations, and research findings into accessible blog posts and technical notes. These materials will serve multiple critical functions:
  • • Informing policymaker and regulatory engagement efforts.
  • • Supporting enterprise trust-building and procurement conversations.
  • • Engaging with standards bodies and the broader research community.
  • • Providing content for public narrative development and media opportunities for the Communications team.
  • • Ensure absolute consistency between the AI systems ReflectionAI builds, the information it publishes, and the positions it advocates for externally.
  • • **Advance External Alignment and Influence:**
  • • Shape and actively advance ReflectionAI's narrative and position on responsible open-weight AI systems. This will involve engagement across a wide spectrum of stakeholders, including standards bodies, think tanks, policymakers, and the open-source ecosystem.
  • • Work in close partnership with the Government Affairs team to influence favorable regulatory pathways and proactively mitigate compliance risks.
  • • Contribute substantively to Requests for Information (RFIs), public consultations, coalition-building efforts, and discussions within standards bodies, always grounding positions in technical expertise.
  • • **Cross-Functional Product Leadership:**
  • • Foster tight collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Research, Legal (General Counsel), Government Affairs, and Communications teams. The goal is to ensure that governance principles and external narratives are intrinsically integrated into product launches, rather than being an afterthought.
  • • Leverage insights from evaluation results, red-teaming exercises, and new research findings to continuously refine governance criteria and proactively shape external expectations regarding AI safety and responsibility.
  • • Anticipate emerging AI capabilities and potential risks, and proactively design policy and product strategies to address them before they evolve into significant regulatory constraints or competitive disadvantages.
