Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Join Amplify’s award-winning creative team as the Production Design Manager and become the engine that keeps our English Language Arts curriculum looking flawless across every touchpoint. You will orchestrate the end-to-end production pipeline for a high-volume portfolio of print and digital assets that reach more than 15 million students nationwide.
- • Partner directly with creative leadership to translate big-picture strategy into day-to-day execution, ensuring every designer is working at peak efficiency while maintaining the rigorous quality standards that educators have come to expect from Amplify.
- • Build, track, and manage multiple competing schedules—using tools like Trello or Smartsheets—so that every lesson, workbook, poster, animation, and interactive element ships on time and in perfect alignment with curriculum milestones.
- • Roll up your sleeves and jump into the files when the team needs an extra set of expert hands; your deep knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and emerging tools like Figma and Notion will keep production moving without bottlenecks.
- • Champion consistent server organization, file-naming conventions, and asset-delivery processes so that cross-functional partners in engineering, product management, and curriculum can always find what they need—when they need it.
- • Act as the primary bridge between design and product leadership, proactively communicating risks, negotiating realistic timelines, and securing buy-in for the resources required to hit ambitious goals.
- • Allocate design time across concurrent projects, balancing individual strengths with workload demands to set every team member up for sustainable success and professional growth.
- • Evolve our production playbook by identifying pain points, piloting new workflows, and documenting best practices so that future projects launch faster and smoother.
- • Advocate for the design discipline in every sprint-planning meeting, ensuring that visual integrity, accessibility, and user-experience standards are never compromised under deadline pressure.
- • Contribute to a culture of continuous feedback—both giving and receiving—so that the entire creative organization levels up with every release cycle.
- • Collaborate with curriculum experts to ensure that every graphic, icon, and layout choice reinforces pedagogical objectives and supports diverse learners.
- • Translate complex feedback from educators, product owners, and engineers into clear, actionable tasks that keep momentum high and ambiguity low.
- • Maintain a living dashboard of project status, risks, and resource needs that leadership can consult at a glance, turning data into decisions that protect both quality and sanity.
- • Shepherd final assets through QA, color-proofing, and accessibility checks, ensuring that what ships to classrooms is pixel-perfect and legally compliant.
- • Celebrate wins loudly—whether it’s a flawless print run or a last-minute animation fix—because at Amplify, taking fun seriously is part of the job description.
