- • Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external borrowers to facilitate seamless mortgage loan processing from origination to closing.
- • Provide superior customer service by clearly communicating loan programs, costs, and documentation requirements to borrowers to ensure informed decision-making.
- • Review and audit borrower income, asset, and credit documentation to verify accuracy and compliance with loan eligibility standards.
- • Run automated underwriting systems (DU and LP) to assess loan risk and determine approval eligibility based on borrower financial profiles.
- • Prepare, review, and deliver mortgage loan disclosure packages including rate disclosures and re-disclosures in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- • Pre-underwrite loan files by analyzing paystubs, bank statements, W-2s, tax returns, court orders, and other supporting documents to strengthen loan approval outcomes.
- • Manage a diverse loan pipeline including Conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, 203k, Jumbo, and reverse mortgage products to match borrowers with optimal financial solutions.
- • Ensure loan structures align with each borrower’s unique financial circumstances to maximize approval potential and long-term affordability.
- • Identify and resolve missing or incomplete documentation in loan files to prevent processing delays and support timely closings.
- • Input data into loan origination systems to generate disclosures, configure loan terms, and set up loans to best fit borrower needs and regulatory standards.
- • Maintain strict adherence to RESPA guidelines and all federal, state, and local mortgage and consumer protection regulations.
- • Utilize Encompass LOS and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Windows) to manage loan files, communicate with stakeholders, and meet daily operational deadlines.
- • Demonstrate strong analytical and mathematical skills to evaluate complex financial data and make accurate underwriting recommendations.
- • Prioritize tasks effectively to manage multiple loan files simultaneously while meeting strict internal and regulatory timelines.
- • Hold required state mortgage licensing to legally communicate loan programs and costs directly to borrowers.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
- • 3-5 years of residential mortgage processing experience
- • Valid state mortgage license to communicate loan terms and costs to borrowers
- • Experience with Encompass LOS
- • Knowledge of RESPA guidelines and mortgage consumer regulations
- • Proficiency in DU, LP, Microsoft Outlook, and Windows
