- • CorroHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled Profee Coding Specialist to join our remote team, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health of our clients by accurately capturing all billable services.
- • As a Coding Specialist, you will be instrumental in providing expert CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across a minimum of 1-4 specialties, with a specific focus on Professional Fee (ProFee) charts.
- • Your expertise will be crucial in coding for Clinic Hematology/Oncology and Evaluation & Management (E/M) services, which are mandatory requirements for this role.
- • You will be expected to work independently from home, leveraging your advanced coding skills to support our diverse client base and contribute to their reimbursement cycle success.
- • A key responsibility involves calculating ProFee E/M levels using a proprietary algorithm developed by CorroHealth, ensuring consistency and accuracy in coding.
- • You will also be tasked with recognizing and accurately coding critical care cases based on patient acuity, ensuring all appropriate services are captured.
- • The role requires the ability to code surgical procedures commonly found in an Emergency Room setting, identifying opportunities to capture additional revenue where applicable and compliant.
- • A core function is the precise application of ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, ensuring they are assigned to the highest level of specificity supported by clinical documentation.
- • You will accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing the ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS coding systems, adhering to all official coding guidelines.
- • Interpreting complex coding guidelines is essential for accurate code assignment, ensuring compliance and optimal reimbursement for our clients.
- • You will need to understand and articulate the critical importance of clinical documentation in relation to code assignment and its subsequent impact on reimbursement outcomes.
- • Upholding the highest ethical standards is paramount; you must align your conduct with AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and CorroHealth’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, actively supporting the Company’s Ethics and Compliance Program.
- • Compliance with all internal policies and procedures is mandatory, ensuring a consistent and reliable coding service.
- • Active participation in all Company-provided training and educational sessions is expected to keep your skills sharp and knowledge current.
- • All Coders must maintain at least one active credential through either the AAPC or AHIMA, demonstrating a commitment to professional development and recognized expertise.
- • Ensuring individual compliance with all privacy and security rules and regulations is a critical aspect of the role, along with a steadfast commitment to protecting all Company confidential information, including Protected Health Information (PHI).
