- • As a Professional Learning & Community Engagement Specialist at MagicSchool Inc., you will play a pivotal role in empowering K–12 educators through high-impact professional learning and grassroots community engagement in Hillsborough County and surrounding regions. This role is central to MagicSchool’s mission of making AI accessible, joyful, and effective in classrooms by placing educators at the heart of innovation. You will serve as both a trusted facilitator of learning and a regional ambassador who brings the MagicSchool community to life through in-person connection, storytelling, and joy-driven engagement.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include facilitating engaging onsite and virtual professional development (PD) sessions tailored to district needs, developing and refining training content—including live workshops, asynchronous modules, and implementation guides—and adapting materials based on educator feedback and local curriculum standards. You will execute surprise-and-delight field moments such as school visits, pop-up educator gatherings, and classroom celebrations to foster authentic connections and brand affinity. As a regional Pioneer program activator, you will identify, support, and amplify educator ambassadors, collect classroom stories, and drive participation in community initiatives that highlight real-world impact. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Experience (CX), and Marketing teams to inform pilot programs, adoption strategies, and regional go-to-market plans, ensuring field insights shape product development and campaign messaging. Additionally, you will track and synthesize field feedback to support voice-of-customer efforts, align regional activities with national goals, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives that strengthen MagicSchool’s educator-centric approach.
- • You will join a mission-driven, fast-growing team at MagicSchool Inc., a pioneering generative AI platform trusted by over 7 million educators worldwide. Despite being just over two years old, the company has achieved rapid adoption by focusing on educator empowerment, ethical AI use, and tangible classroom impact. The Professional Learning function operates at the intersection of pedagogy, product, and community, working closely with CX, Sales, and Marketing to ensure that every interaction—whether a training session or a community event—reinforces trust, joy, and relevance. This role reports into the Professional Learning function with day-to-day guidance from the Pioneer & Community Lead, offering a unique blend of autonomy and collaboration in a culture that values trust, communication, and innovation.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in adult learning theory, instructional design, and change management while gaining hands-on experience with AI-in-education tools and their real-world application. You will refine your facilitation, public speaking, and storytelling abilities across diverse audiences—from classroom teachers to district administrators—and build strategic skills in community building, grassroots marketing, and cross-functional collaboration. You will also develop a nuanced understanding of how edtech tools are adopted in K–12 systems, including implementation challenges, professional learning needs, and opportunities for scalable impact. Over time, you may evolve into a leader in professional learning strategy, community engagement, or educator advocacy within MagicSchool or the broader edtech landscape.
🎯 Requirements
- • Based in Northern/Central Florida, with priority given to candidates living within 1 hour of Hillsborough County (Tampa metro area).
- • 5+ years of experience in education, instructional coaching, or edtech-focused professional development and community engagement roles.
- • Demonstrated excellence in facilitation and public speaking, with comfort engaging both educators and district-level leaders in virtual and in-person settings.
- • Proven passion for educator engagement, storytelling, and grassroots brand-building, with experience creating meaningful connections that drive adoption and loyalty.
- • Hands-on experience supporting edtech tools and navigating school or district implementation processes, including onboarding, training, and change management.
- • Willingness and ability to travel regionally up to 75% of the time during peak seasons and approximately 50% year-round to attend events, visit schools, and engage with educator communities.
