  • • The Professional Services Security Consultant plays a key role in implementing and enabling Tenable’s Exposure Management solutions to help organizations reduce cyber risk by onboarding technologies, following industry standards, and delivering customized solutions that address vulnerabilities across a client’s attack surface.
  • • Day to day, the consultant will develop a deep understanding of client business needs, install and configure Tenable solutions, oversee upgrades and migrations, provide consultative advice on security best practices, assist in developing security policies and Exposure Management Programs, manage client escalations, train client staff, and ensure customer satisfaction while supporting delivery revenue objectives.

  • • In this role, the consultant will deepen expertise in Tenable’s product portfolio, gain hands-on experience with vulnerability management and Exposure Management frameworks, develop client-facing consulting and presentation skills, and advance their ability to design and implement enterprise security programs aligned with standards like ISO, CIS, PCI, HIPAA, and more.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology/Cyber Security and professional services
  • • Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field such as IT, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
  • • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable leading 3+ hour calls
  • • Proficiency in assessing threats and risks related to Exposure Management, including vulnerabilities in host/network configurations
  • • Recent experience performing vulnerability scans, configuration audits, and security monitoring with Tenable or similar products
  • • Familiarity with Metasploit, application security testing, OWASP, and common web application threats
  • • Knowledge of auditing frameworks such as ISO 17799, CIS, PCI, GLBA, HIPAA (preferred)
  • • Experience managing client expectations, building relationships, and delivering consultative advice
  • • Understanding of IT security principles across networks, OS, firewalls, databases, cloud, and identity/access management
  • • Familiarity with developing REST API integrations using Python or similar languages
  • • Industry-recognized technical certifications (preferred)
  • • Client-facing travel may be required
  • • Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship
