  • • As a Professional Services Specialist (PSS) at Motorola Solutions, you will be instrumental in ensuring the successful deployment and optimal performance of our cutting-edge physical security solutions, specifically focusing on Avigilon Alta VMS and Access Control systems. This role is pivotal in bridging the technical expertise of our engineering teams with the critical needs of our clients, ensuring seamless integration and maximum value realization from our hardware and software offerings.
  • • You will take ownership of the entire deployment lifecycle, from initial installation and configuration to final certification, for both on-site and remote VMS and Access Control environments. This end-to-end responsibility demands a meticulous approach and a deep understanding of system architecture.
  • • A core aspect of your role will involve advanced technical troubleshooting. You'll apply sophisticated logical reasoning to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues. This includes a strong focus on IP networking concepts such as TCP/IP, UDP, and Multicasting, as well as intricate VMS integrations and the nuances of video analytics.
  • • You will act as a key technical partner to our Sales teams, contributing directly to the achievement of strategic targets. This involves conducting compelling technical demonstrations that highlight the capabilities of our solutions, proactively identifying potential project risks, and assisting in the accurate identification of key stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.
  • • A significant part of your contribution will be in knowledge transfer and enablement. You will be responsible for upskilling our channel partners, end-users, and internal teams through the delivery of high-quality technical training sessions and engaging product demonstrations. This ensures that all parties are equipped to leverage our solutions effectively.
  • • Your expertise in IT infrastructure will be crucial. You will leverage a deep understanding of network components like routers, firewalls, and diagnostic tools such as Wireshark. Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell will be essential for conducting thorough site audits and designing robust system architectures that meet our rigorous standards.
  • • You will serve as a vital technical liaison, fostering strong communication channels between our Customer Success and Support teams. Your role is to ensure a consistently high level of customer satisfaction by providing expert post-sales advocacy and technical guidance.
  • • This position requires a high degree of mobility and field readiness. You must be prepared to travel over 50% of the time within North America. This necessitates maintaining a valid driver’s license and passport, and the ability to independently manage complex site visits and deployments.
  • • You will be expected to think creatively and "outside the box" to develop innovative solutions that address unique customer challenges, ensuring that our technology not only meets but exceeds expectations.
  • • Your ability to remain calm under pressure and present complex technical information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, from technical experts to non-technical stakeholders, will be a hallmark of your success in this role.
  • • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of our deployment methodologies and best practices, sharing insights and feedback to enhance our service offerings.
  • • This role offers the opportunity to work with leading-edge physical security technology and to make a tangible impact on the safety and security of communities and businesses across North America.
  • • You will be a trusted advisor to our clients, building strong relationships based on technical expertise and reliable support.
  • • The role demands a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional services and solutions based on customer needs and system performance.
  • • You will be involved in the pre-sales process, providing technical validation and scoping for proposals, ensuring that proposed solutions are technically feasible and align with customer requirements.
  • • You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies within the physical security and IT landscape.
  • • Your work will directly contribute to Motorola Solutions' mission of helping to keep people safer everywhere by ensuring our technology is deployed effectively and reliably.
  • • You will be a key player in ensuring customer adoption and proficiency with our Avigilon Alta platform, driving long-term value and satisfaction.
  • • The role involves documenting deployment processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to build a comprehensive knowledge base for the team and for customer reference.
  • • You will collaborate with product development teams to provide feedback from the field, influencing future product enhancements and roadmap decisions.
  • • You will be responsible for managing project timelines and resources effectively during the deployment phase to ensure on-time and on-budget project completion.
  • • Your ability to adapt to evolving technologies and customer requirements will be essential for success in this dynamic role.
