- • The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and supporting WellSky's Authorization Management program.
- • This role serves as a central point of contact between hospital clients, payers, physicians, and clinical reviewers to ensure authorization requests are processed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
- • The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment while delivering exceptional customer service.
- • Key Responsibilities include:
- • Coordinate authorization requests from intake through final payer determination
- • Assign cases to clinical reviewers and monitor progress through completion
- • Submit authorization requests and supporting documentation to payers
- • Answer inbound calls and provide front-line support for the team
- • Maintain accurate records and ensure all information is documented appropriately
- • Support process improvement initiatives and perform other duties as assigned
- • Required Qualifications include:
- • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- • 0-2 years of relevant work experience
- • Preferred Qualifications include:
- • Experience in a healthcare or healthcare operations environment
- • LPN, Medical Assistant (MA), or other clinical licensure/certification preferred
- • Knowledge of medical terminology
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
- • Strong organizational and time management skills
- • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- • Customer service experience
- • Job Expectations include:
- • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
- • Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
- • Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
