📋 Description

• Skydio, the preeminent US drone company and a global leader in autonomous flight technology, is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Program Manager to spearhead the implementation, deployment, and seamless operational handoff of our cutting-edge sUAS solutions for commercial clients.
• This pivotal role resides within our Mission Success organization, where you will be instrumental in driving successful outcomes across a spectrum of operations, including Piloted sUAS, dock-based remote operations, ensuring overall operational readiness, and fostering long-term customer adoption.
• You will assume ownership of the entire program lifecycle, from the initial strategic planning and meticulous execution through to the critical deployment phase, the smooth operational handoff, and the subsequent stabilization of customer programs.
• This responsibility necessitates close collaboration with our valued customers and dedicated internal teams to establish and scale robust UAS programs that meet and exceed expectations.
• The ideal candidate will possess a strong comfort level with intricate technical systems, sophisticated operational workflows, and navigating ambiguity, coupled with an unwavering willingness to delve into the granular details.
• This deep dive ensures that all deployed programs are not only deployable but also highly supportable and, above all, safe, adhering to the highest industry standards.
• You will be at the forefront of defining and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tailored to each customer's unique operational environment.
• This includes contributing to Safety Management Systems (SMS) inputs, establishing critical operational controls, and developing comprehensive maintenance concepts and support plans that are intrinsically aligned with Skydio's advanced platforms.
• Your role will involve coordinating intricate cross-functional efforts, fostering seamless collaboration between Mission Success, Support, Product, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure unified progress and deliver exceptional results.
• A key aspect of your contribution will be translating complex customer operational requirements into clear, actionable execution plans and defining precise internal deliverables that guide our technical and operational teams.
• You will be responsible for driving critical alignment between customer expectations and Skydio's robust technical capabilities and operational frameworks, ensuring transparency and managing expectations effectively.
• Proactive risk identification is paramount; you will be expected to identify potential risks early – whether technical, operational, regulatory, or logistical – and to actively develop and manage robust mitigation plans to preemptively address challenges.
• Furthermore, you will play a supportive role in go-to-market strategies and commercial expansion initiatives, including the planning and execution of pilot programs, early-stage deployments, and the scaled rollout of solutions to a broader customer base.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience as a customer-facing Program Manager, Professional Services PM, or in a similar role focused on delivering complex technical programs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-phase implementations that integrate hardware, software, and intricate operational processes.
• Strong foundational project management skills, encompassing meticulous planning, effective dependency tracking, proactive risk management, and rigorous execution tracking.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven capacity to engage effectively with both customer operators and internal technical teams.
• Experience in implementing new technology programs that necessitate the development and refinement of operational workflows, comprehensive documentation, and thorough training.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving acumen, with the ability to independently identify and resolve execution issues.
