- • The Program Officer I - Research & Evidence role supports the Research and Evidence Group at FHI 360, a multidisciplinary team generating evidence to inform global health and development programs. This position is critical in ensuring research projects are administered efficiently, deliverables are met on time, and financial and contractual obligations are fulfilled, directly contributing to evidence-based decision-making in areas such as infectious disease, maternal health, and economic opportunity.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with research project management teams to track deliverables and funder requirements, managing the full vendor lifecycle for subawards and consultants (from onboarding to invoicing), maintaining project files and calendars, sending reminders for reporting deadlines, reviewing work plans, assisting with budget tracking and expense processing, supporting business development efforts including grant proposal coordination in Salesforce, and facilitating communication with internal and external partners.
- • The Research and Evidence Group operates across technical areas including child development, health systems innovation, and economic opportunity, partnering with governments, funders, and communities worldwide to translate research into actionable impact. The team uses diverse methods such as implementation research, program evaluation, secondary data analysis, and research synthesis to strengthen global programs.
- • In this role, the individual will develop strong project administration and coordination skills, gain experience in NGO-based research project management, deepen understanding of budget and contract processes in international development, and build proficiency in cross-functional communication and documentation—positioning them for growth into senior program or project management roles within global health and development sectors.
