📋 Description

• The Programs Underwriter role supports and grows the Fire Suppression & Sprinkler Contractors program by underwriting, pricing, and managing risks related to fire protection systems, ensuring life safety and property protection through disciplined risk selection.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include underwriting new and renewal Property & Casualty business, reviewing submissions and documentation, evaluating risks for acceptance or modification, establishing coverage limits and pricing, managing an assigned portfolio for profitability and retention, and delivering timely underwriting support.
• The role involves close collaboration with retail brokers to deliver competitive, compliant, and profitable insurance solutions, while identifying growth opportunities and supporting marketing initiatives through industry events and training.
• The Underwriter will develop expertise in fire suppression system risks, strengthen broker relationships, contribute to portfolio insights and business planning, and stay current on market trends and regulatory changes within the Property & Casualty sector.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience considered.
• Minimum of 5 years of Property & Casualty underwriting experience.
• Must meet minimum requirements for applicable state Property & Casualty and/or Surplus Lines licenses.
• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation preferred but not required.
