- • Support the Office of Mental Health’s Comprehensive Energy Efficiency and Pollution Program (CEEP) in Brentwood, New York, as a Project Commissioning Engineer Intern during Spring/Summer 2026.
- • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to secure site and building access for ongoing construction services.
- • Collaborate with the site Project Manager to maintain consistent communication with Ameresco customers and subcontractors throughout design and construction phases, including providing project status updates and addressing delays or concerns.
- • Manage, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors to ensure all installations comply with design documents, are delivered on time and within budget, and meet or exceed customer expectations.
- • Evaluate energy technologies and equipment to recommend the most suitable solutions for each project application.
- • Prepare and maintain all technical and administrative documentation required by management, including reports and support materials for sales, engineering, and operations teams.
- • Work with Marketing, Sales, and Project Teams to develop and update project presentations, documentation, and related materials.
- • Ensure accurate project recordkeeping, including daily logs, schedule updates, and customer interaction documentation.
- • Review and manage all project expenditures to confirm invoices are within approved budgets, supported by valid purchase orders, contracts, and documentation.
- • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, subcontractors, and vendors across all project phases.
- • Attend weekly construction meetings at the jobsite in Brentwood, New York.
- • Analyze project proposals, prepare spreadsheets, and assist in review meetings.
- • Perform additional duties as assigned to support project execution and team objectives.
🎯 Requirements
- • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, facility management, or energy management fields.
- • Valid Driver’s License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
- • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
