• • As the Project Development Lead, you will be instrumental in this process. You will bridge the gap between our strategic vision and the practical execution required to bring impactful projects to life. This role demands a unique blend of strategic thinking, project management prowess, and the ability to inspire and guide teams through complex development cycles.
• • Your primary responsibility will be to take FLI's high-level goals and translate them into concrete, detailed plans. This involves defining project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements. You will be responsible for the end-to-end development lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to implementation and launch.
• • You will work closely with FLI's research teams to understand the landscape of transformative technologies and identify key areas where intervention is most needed. This includes staying abreast of advancements in fields such as artificial intelligence, biotechnology, and other rapidly evolving areas, and assessing their potential risks and benefits.
• • A significant part of your role will involve conceptualizing and developing Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) or pilot projects. This could involve working directly with FLI staff, external contractors, or collaborating with partner organizations to build and test new solutions.
• • You will be responsible for identifying and recruiting talented individuals to lead specific projects or initiatives. This includes headhunting potential project leaders, assessing their capabilities, and supporting their integration into FLI's ecosystem.
• • You will also play a key role in soliciting targeted grant requests from organizations and individuals working in priority spaces. This involves understanding the needs of these potential grantees, helping them articulate their vision, and ensuring their proposals align with FLI's strategic objectives.
• • Furthermore, you will contribute to the incubation of new organizations that are designed to achieve specific beneficial outcomes. This might involve developing business plans, establishing governance structures, and providing initial operational support.
• • The Project Development Lead will manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring they remain on track, within budget, and aligned with FLI's overarching mission. This requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• • You will foster a collaborative and innovative environment, working effectively with diverse stakeholders, including researchers, engineers, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists.
