  • • The Project Engineer will support the Office of Mental Health’s comprehensive Energy Efficiency and Pollution Program (CEEP) based in Buffalo, West Seneca, or Rochester, New York, leading system-wide energy assessments, benchmarking, and ASHRAE Level I–III audits to identify energy efficiency, electrification, and infrastructure renewal opportunities.
  • • The role involves overseeing design and construction-phase energy projects, managing communication with clients and internal teams, directing supply-side and demand-side energy management initiatives, and managing project budgets and expenditures while ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • • The Project Engineer will foster strong working relationships with customers, subcontractors, utilities, and internal teams, evaluate technologies and equipment for suitability, maintain accurate project documentation, and support capital planning by assessing mechanical and electrical system conditions to prioritize energy-related capital investments.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, facility management or energy management fields.
  • • Minimum of 3 years of energy management, project engineering, facilities engineering, or energy efficiency program delivery.
  • • Demonstrated experience supporting or managing energy-related construction projects, including coordination of subcontractors and site activities.
  • • Experience with large-scale construction, retrofit, and renovation projects in institutional, government, commercial, or industrial facilities.
  • • Advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Excel and Project.
  • • Valid Drivers’ License issued by state of residence and in good standing.
