📋 Description
- • As a Project Lead, Payroll (Hybrid) at Homebase Labs Inc., you will own the end-to-end process of getting customers up and running with Homebase Payroll, serving as the primary point of contact from kickoff through first payroll run to ensure accurate, compliant implementations.
- • You will collect and reconcile complex customer data including business entity details, employee demographics, and YTD payroll records; train customers to become self-sufficient; investigate and resolve payroll questions by researching regulations and troubleshooting system issues; collaborate with Sales to address implementation blockers; surface product feedback to Product and Engineering; and maintain accurate records in Salesforce.
- • You will partner with an Onboarding Implementation Specialist who handles technical aspects like YTD and demographic loads, while you focus on customer-facing coordination, communication, and project execution.
- • You will work in a hybrid model with required in-office days Monday through Thursday in Denver, collaborating with a fast-moving, mission-driven team obsessed with helping small businesses thrive through empathy, urgency, and innovation.
- • You will develop expertise in multi-state payroll compliance, CRM-driven project management, and customer enablement while contributing to product improvement and operational efficiency through AI-enabled workflows and data-driven decision making.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3+ years of experience in Implementation, Onboarding, Payroll, or Project Management at a SaaS company, with payroll implementation experience strongly preferred
- • Proven ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously with strong project management skills
- • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for cleaning, reconciling, and analyzing large data sets
- • Hands-on experience with CRMs (e.g., Salesforce), phone systems, and basic technical troubleshooting
- • Demonstrated ability to research and interpret state-by-state payroll regulations and resolve complex compliance questions
- • AI fluency: ability to use AI tools to improve workflows, partner on testing and refining AI solutions, evaluate AI performance with data, and adapt to evolving AI capabilities
