  • • Lead a project team responsible for reviewing complex insurance product, underwriting, and related practices to measure product performance, quality controls, and vendor adherence to corporate standards for profitability optimization.
  • • Develop project scope, identify next steps, and ensure timely and accurate completion of individual and team tasks across insurance optimization and quality assurance initiatives.
  • • Analyze cost/benefit across product features and underwriting practices to recommend actions that increase profitability and operational efficiency.
  • • Collaborate with Management to develop reporting and analytics frameworks using GCP dashboards and Excel to visualize data flows and inform decision-making.
  • • Work with field management and cross-functional teams to build and enhance dashboards that track underwriting quality, compliance, and performance metrics.
  • • Conduct comprehensive internal quality audits, document findings, and present agent-level summaries and recommendations to senior management.
  • • Participate in meetings with agents and managers to communicate audit results, drive alignment, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • • Partner with Internal Audit on confidential and special projects, including employee investigations and fraud assessments, and make appropriate referrals when necessary.
  • • Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying trends, operational gaps, and improvement opportunities in underwriting and insurance processes.
  • • Review and analyze underwriting reporting budgets, evaluating cost-benefit and potential for new vendor solutions to enhance optimization across product lines.
  • • Develop and refine policies and procedures related to the audit and quality assurance process based on findings and industry best practices.
  • • Apply advanced auditing tools and techniques, including audit sampling theories, descriptive statistics, and quality control concepts such as Six Sigma, LEAN, and Total Quality Management.
  • • Ensure accuracy and integrity of audit work-paper documentation and reports, providing oversight to all aspects of quality and compliance review activities.
  • • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, including conducting opening and closing audit meetings, delivering presentations, and building consensus among State Product Management, Actuarial Pricing, Central Services, Field Management, and Underwriting teams.
  • • Research company procedures, insurance laws, regulations, and industry standards to inform audit findings and recommendations.
  • • Assess fraud potential and escalate concerns appropriately while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • • Work effectively under pressure to achieve stated objectives within designated timeframes while managing multiple priorities.
  • • Utilize Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and Google Cloud Platform dashboards to support data analysis, reporting, and project execution.

🎯 Requirements

  • • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Technology, or a related field
  • • Experience conducting comprehensive internal quality audits and documenting findings
  • • Knowledge of insurance policy provisions, underwriting quality standards, and applicable insurance laws and regulations
  • • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and Google Cloud Platform dashboards
  • • Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, perform root cause analysis, and develop actionable recommendations
  • • Strong project planning and management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives
