  • • SHI International Corp. is seeking a motivated and organized Project Manager I (PM I) to join our dynamic team. Since 1989, SHI has empowered organizations worldwide with innovative IT solutions and services, growing into a $16 billion global provider. We pride ourselves on a concierge approach, driven by the dedication of our 7,000 employees. Joining SHI means becoming part of a company committed to diversity, offering continuous professional growth, comprehensive health and financial benefits, and world-class facilities.
  • • As a Project Manager I, you will be instrumental in the planning, execution, and successful delivery of small to moderate, well-defined projects. You will also provide crucial support to larger, more complex initiatives under the guidance of senior project leaders. This role demands a proactive approach to managing multiple project activities, skillfully balancing competing priorities to ensure all project milestones are met on time, within the defined scope, and in alignment with stakeholder expectations.
  • • Your core responsibilities will encompass comprehensive project planning and delivery. This includes developing and meticulously maintaining detailed project schedules, timelines, and critical milestones. You will be responsible for facilitating project kickoff meetings and conducting regular team meetings, ensuring that all action items are documented and diligently followed through. A key aspect of this role is owning the creation and upkeep of essential project artifacts, such as project plans, status reports, and meeting minutes. You will actively track project tasks, deliverables, and deadlines, proactively escalating any risks or issues that may impede progress.
  • • Effective communication and stakeholder support are paramount. You will proactively communicate project goals, progress updates, identified risks, and emerging issues to all relevant stakeholders and team members. Serving as the primary point of contact for day-to-day project communications and coordination, you will manage stakeholder expectations through regular, clear, and audience-appropriate updates. Building and nurturing productive working relationships with internal teams, external partners, and customers will be a continuous effort.
  • • In terms of scope, risk, and change management, you will define and manage the scope of assigned initiatives, ensuring projects remain focused and aligned with objectives. You will diligently identify project risks and issues, develop robust mitigation plans, and track them rigorously until resolution. Furthermore, you will support the change control process by documenting change requests, assessing their potential impact, and ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained before implementation.
  • • Financial, resource, and quality management are integral to this role. You will monitor project budgets, track resource allocation, and manage hours against the project plan. Reporting on financial and resourcing status, including forecasts and variance awareness, will be a regular duty. You will review project deliverables to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements and quality standards, and support invoicing and billing activities as needed.
  • • Leading project teams and applying project management methodologies effectively are key competencies. You will lead assigned project teams by coordinating work, assigning responsibilities, and fostering a collaborative environment. Resolving day-to-day delivery challenges and supporting conflict resolution within the team will be essential. You will apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies as dictated by project needs and adapt project management practices to align with organizational standards. Your adaptability, strong communication, collaboration, decision-making, results orientation, self-motivation, prioritization, time management, leadership, problem-solving, follow-up, and organizational skills will be critical to your success in this role.
