  • • Define site scope and project timeline specifically for entitlements, permitting, and construction administration across Driven Brands’ portfolio of automotive service locations.
  • • Allocate resources efficiently to expedite entitlement processes and ensure timely project progression from land acquisition to construction start.
  • • Manage detailed project schedules and work plans using Smartsheet, ensuring alignment with regulatory timelines and internal milestones.
  • • Deliver consistent, transparent project updates to internal teams and external stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress on entitlements and permits.
  • • Oversee contracts with third-party consultants, assigning tasks, defining deliverables, and monitoring performance to meet project objectives.
  • • Monitor project progress in real time and proactively adjust plans to address delays, regulatory changes, or resource constraints.
  • • Secure all necessary permits, approvals, and entitlements for development sites with minimal supervision, ensuring full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • • Initiate construction starts within 30 days of completing all entitlements and permitting requirements.
  • • Manage site budgets rigorously to ensure projects are completed without compromising quality or regulatory compliance.
  • • Read, analyze, and translate civil and building construction drawings including irrigation, utility, and MEP plans to inform entitlement strategies.
  • • Interpret and apply government codes and statutes including Building Code, Land Use/Zoning, Development Ordinances, and Code Enforcement Policies to guide project decisions.
  • • Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels, including direct phone negotiations with municipal officials and consultants.
  • • Demonstrate initiative and bias for action by independently driving projects forward while remaining open to collaboration and seeking help when needed.
  • • Solve complex regulatory and logistical problems creatively and resourcefully, maintaining operational excellence and on-time delivery.
  • • Maintain extreme attention to detail in documentation, submissions, and compliance tracking.
  • • Utilize software tools including Smartsheet, Bluebeam, and Protrack; quickly learn new systems as required.
  • • Experience with AutoCAD is highly recommended for interpreting and annotating technical site plans.
  • • Foster a culture of honesty, direct communication, and ego-free collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • • Support team success through receptiveness to direction, proactive problem-solving, and consistent follow-through on commitments.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3-5 years of experience in construction permitting, entitlements, zoning, land use, or a combination of these areas
  • • Ability to read, analyze, and translate civil and building construction drawings (irrigation, utility, MEP plans)
  • • Ability to read, analyze, and apply government codes and statutes (Building Code, Land Use/Zoning, Development Ordinance)
  • • Proficiency in Smartsheet for project scheduling and tracking
  • • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to negotiate and over-communicate with stakeholders
  • • Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
