• Canonical is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to spearhead our embedded systems initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in guiding complex projects from conception through to successful deployment, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives and meet the exacting standards of our enterprise clients. You will manage the entire project lifecycle, encompassing planning, execution, monitoring, control, and closure, with a strong emphasis on delivering within scope, on time, and within budget.
• Your primary responsibility will be to orchestrate the efforts of cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, marketing, and sales, to achieve project milestones. This involves defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables, while ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with market needs. You will develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed work breakdown structures, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Proactive identification and mitigation of potential risks and issues will be crucial to maintaining project momentum and ensuring successful outcomes.
• As a Project Manager, you will be the central point of contact for all project-related communications. You will facilitate regular team meetings, provide clear and concise status updates to stakeholders at all levels, and manage expectations effectively. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams, external partners, and clients will be paramount to fostering collaboration and ensuring project success. • The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully managing software development projects, ideally within the embedded Linux or open-source ecosystem. Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban is essential, as is the ability to adapt these methodologies to the unique demands of embedded development. You should be adept at managing distributed teams, fostering a collaborative and productive remote working environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in project management, with a strong track record of successfully delivering complex software development projects, preferably in the embedded systems domain.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively manage expectations and build relationships across diverse teams and geographies.
