- • Serve as a Virtual Property Adjuster working remotely from a home office to provide exceptional claims service to Allstate policyholders affected by wind, hail, water, smoke, or fire damage.
- • Conduct virtual inspections of property damage using high-resolution photographs and advanced video collaboration tools such as ClaimsX Video Collaboration to assess the extent of losses.
- • Prepare accurate and detailed damage estimates using Xactimate and other industry-standard estimating platforms to determine repair costs and settlement amounts.
- • Investigate and interpret insurance policies to determine coverage eligibility, ensuring compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
- • Communicate empathetically and clearly with policyholders via phone, email, and video chat to guide them through the claims process, answer questions, and manage expectations.
- • Negotiate fair and timely claim settlements with customers, contractors, vendors, and third-party carriers while adhering to business unit guidelines and legal practices.
- • Maintain precise documentation in the claims system to protect the company financially and ensure audit readiness, including recording contents inventories, pricing details, and mitigation bills.
- • Review and analyze mitigation bills, contents pricing, and repair estimates to validate accuracy and completeness of claim settlements.
- • Utilize data and analytics to support decision-making in claim evaluation and settlement recommendations.
- • Work independently in a fast-paced virtual environment, managing multiple claims simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines and quality standards.
- • Operate within a scheduled workweek of Sunday–Thursday, 7 a.m.–7 p.m., with no travel required.
- • Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, including obtaining an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire if mandated by your state or region.
- • Maintain a dedicated, private home workspace with reliable wired internet connectivity (minimum 50 MBPS download, 5 MBPS upload) to support customer-facing virtual interactions.
- • Collaborate with onsite vendors and adjusters remotely to verify damage assessments and coordinate repair efforts without on-site visits.
- • Apply strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve moderately to complex coverage disputes and claim anomalies.
- • Demonstrate Allstate’s Claims Culture by leading with empathy, empowering policyholders, and restoring confidence during stressful claims situations.
🎯 Requirements
- • At least 3+ years of property field claims experience preferred
- • Familiarity with Xactimate and other virtual assessment tools
- • Strong analytical skills to assess damages and determine coverage
- • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a virtual environment
- • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality claim resolutions
