- • As Property and Casualty Underwriter Manager, you will drive underwriting strategy and align talent and capital to deliver results for a specific product line, ensuring sustainable business outcomes and alignment with Ryan Specialty’s values.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include defining product-specific underwriting strategy, managing execution and performance accountability, monitoring portfolio metrics, developing pricing models with actuarial teams, attracting and developing underwriting talent, and ensuring data integrity in reporting.
- • You will partner internally with RSUM shared services (actuarial, legal, compliance) and externally with TPAs, data providers, and service providers to support product delivery and transparency.
- • The role supports MGU leadership by contributing to business plans, staffing models, distribution relations, product-specific marketing, and strategic KPI reporting, while fostering a culture of performance and inclusion.

🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, or Business Administration
- • 10+ years of experience in Property and Casualty insurance underwriting
- • State P&C and/or surplus lines license required
- • Industry designations such as CPCU, ARM, or AU-M are a plus
- • Proven expertise in commercial lines underwriting, portfolio management, financial management, and underwriting systems
- • Strong behavioral competencies in problem-solving, influencing, execution, people development, and entrepreneurial mindset
