• • As a Protocol Backend Engineer at MLabs, you will be at the forefront of innovation within the stablecoin ecosystem, playing a pivotal role in enhancing a cutting-edge platform designed for builders. This platform empowers developers to create and customize their own stablecoins with unparalleled ease, offering a superior digital-dollar building block. Your work will directly contribute to enabling businesses to effectively monetize digital dollar use cases while maintaining complete control over their money tech stack, all without the burden of operational heavy-lifting. You will be instrumental in developing and refining features such as custom branding, sophisticated compliance behaviors, and dynamic yield distribution mechanics.
• • Your core responsibilities will revolve around enhancing the growing suite of $M Extensions projects, a critical component of our stablecoin platform. This involves not only developing new functionalities but also providing robust technical support to our partners' engineering teams, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of our solutions.
• • A significant aspect of your role will be the design and development of automated on-chain minting processes. This requires a deep understanding of blockchain protocols and smart contract development, enabling the creation of secure and efficient mechanisms for stablecoin issuance.
• • You will also be responsible for architecting and implementing cross-chain stablecoin liquidity management solutions. This complex task involves ensuring the smooth and secure transfer of assets across different blockchain networks, a crucial element for a global stablecoin platform.
• • In parallel, you will focus on deploying modern web applications that adhere to the highest industry best practices. This includes ensuring robust security measures, strict compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining high availability to guarantee a reliable user experience.
• • Performance monitoring is a key area of focus. You will implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems designed to deliver consistently high uptime and low-latency user experiences. This proactive approach to system health is vital for maintaining user trust and platform stability.
• • Beyond technical contributions, you will act as a mentor to mid-level engineers, fostering their growth and development. This includes conducting thorough and constructive code reviews, sharing your expertise, and actively promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence throughout the engineering team.
• • You will champion agile practices and drive engineering excellence across all projects. Your leadership will ensure that projects are delivered not only on schedule but also within budgetary constraints, maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency.
• • The interview process is designed to be thorough yet efficient, starting with an introductory call with the Head of Talent, followed by a technical and leadership-focused interview with the CTO. A significant take-home technical assessment, typically requiring 3–5 days, will evaluate your practical skills. This will be followed by an executive review with leadership to discuss the assessment results, culminating in a final interview to ensure alignment on cultural fit and long-term career objectives.
