- • The Provider Specialist role at Vision Service Plan (VSP) is critical to building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare providers, retail chains, and strategic partners to support the growth and success of VSP’s Vision Care programs.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include cultivating provider relationships, educating stakeholders on VSP’s initiatives, resolving complex issues and escalations, negotiating provider contracts, analyzing practice structures and legal documents, and serving as a communication focal point during critical outreach efforts such as natural disaster relief or surveys.
- • The role operates within VSP’s Vision Care division, supporting network development and provider engagement strategies aligned with organizational growth objectives and operational goals.
- • The Provider Specialist will develop deep expertise in regional plans and programs, enhance negotiation and analytical skills, gain experience in healthcare contract management, and contribute directly to provider satisfaction and network performance outcomes.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare environment, preferably working directly with healthcare providers
- • Advanced communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to handle escalated issues and exercise independent judgment
