  • • Partner closely with Public Sector Enterprise Account Executives to drive pipeline growth and accelerate revenue within federal, state, and local government accounts.
  • • Qualify inbound and SDR-generated leads to assess fit, buying readiness, stakeholder alignment, and potential opportunity value.
  • • Conduct discovery conversations to understand customer challenges, initiatives, procurement timelines, and organizational priorities.
  • • Maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities for assigned Enterprise Account Executives by consistently identifying and advancing viable prospects.
  • • Develop and execute engagement strategies to sustain prospect interest throughout extended public sector buying cycles.
  • • Coordinate follow-up activities, educational outreach, and stakeholder engagement efforts to keep opportunities moving forward.
  • • Build and nurture relationships with key influencers, champions, and decision-makers within target government agencies and public sector organizations.
  • • Conduct in-depth account research to identify organizational priorities, funding sources, buying centers, and key stakeholders.
  • • Map decision-makers, influencers, procurement personnel, and executive sponsors within assigned accounts to support strategic sales planning.
  • • Assist Enterprise Account Executives in developing and executing account plans for named accounts and target agencies.
  • • Identify whitespace opportunities and expansion potential within existing accounts to drive upsell and cross-sell initiatives.
  • • Schedule and coordinate discovery meetings, product demonstrations, and executive briefings with government stakeholders.
  • • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records including opportunity updates, stakeholder maps, and activity tracking.
  • • Support proposal development, procurement processes, and customer follow-up activities as needed to advance sales cycles.
  • • Collaborate with Marketing, SDRs, and Customer Success teams to maximize account engagement and align cross-functional efforts.
  • • Track and report on qualified pipeline generated, opportunity progression rates, stakeholder engagement levels, pipeline coverage, and forecast accuracy.
  • • Contribute directly to overall team revenue attainment through consistent pipeline development and opportunity nurturing.
  • • Operate within a team-selling environment with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and shared goals.
  • • Adhere to all Ontic Security and Privacy policies to protect company and client data.
  • • Pursue career advancement into an Account Executive role by demonstrating sales proficiency, account management skills, and revenue performance.

🎯 Requirements

  • • 3-5 years of experience in public sector sales, business development, inside sales, or lead qualification
  • • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • • Experience managing multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously
  • • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team-selling environment
  • • Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce
  • • Familiarity with public sector procurement processes and buying cycles
