  • • As a Senior Sales Engineer at Ping Identity, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between complex identity management solutions and the critical needs of public sector clients. You will collaborate closely with a dedicated sales team, acting as the primary technical advisor and solution architect for prospective clients. Your expertise will be crucial in understanding intricate customer requirements, translating them into compelling technical solutions, and ultimately enabling personal, team, and customer achievements through insightful and innovative approaches that address both technical challenges and overarching business objectives.   • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide range of pre-sales activities designed to showcase the value and efficacy of Ping Identity's offerings. This includes conducting in-depth solution demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of public sector entities, delivering persuasive presentations that highlight both the technical capabilities and the business benefits of our identity and access management (IAM) solutions, and providing expert technical guidance throughout the sales cycle. You will be responsible for leading and executing proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, meticulously designing and implementing scenarios that validate the performance and suitability of our platform within the client's unique environment. Furthermore, you will play a key role in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and other tender documents, ensuring that our technical responses are accurate, comprehensive, and compelling. A significant aspect of your role will involve establishing and nurturing enduring relationships with customers, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor who deeply understands their challenges and can consistently offer effective solutions. You will actively collaborate with the sales team, providing critical technical support during key sales cycle phases such as qualification, discovery, and the technical proof phase, directly contributing to revenue generation. To ensure a seamless customer experience, you will also coordinate pre-sales efforts with the post-sales service delivery team, facilitating a smooth transition and ongoing success for the client. This will involve leading customer-facing meetings, whether conducted via videoconferencing or in-person, where you will deliver presentations, conduct whiteboarding sessions, and perform demonstrations of Ping Identity solutions, showcasing their value proposition effectively. You will also be expected to provide valuable feedback on product enhancements and emerging customer needs to our product management teams, helping to shape the future direction of our solutions. A core part of your role will involve mentoring junior team members, both formally and informally, sharing your expertise and fostering their development. You will be expected to develop and maintain subject matter expert-level knowledge in at least one of Ping Identity's core solutions, serving as a go-to resource for other Sales Engineers within the organization. Finally, you will be required to travel between 15% and 40% as needed to support customer engagements and industry events.
