📋 Description

• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-realistic software engineering scenarios.
• Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding tasks and expected outcomes.
• Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
• Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
• Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code implementations, and expected outputs across diverse software environments.
• Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to evaluate code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to refactoring and production migration efforts as part of project-based evaluations.
• Work independently on a project-based, part-time consultant basis with full control over schedule and workload.
• Deliver high-quality, production-grade coding tasks and validation artifacts that serve as evaluation benchmarks for AI training and assessment.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and educational value in task evaluation.
• Utilize Python as the primary development language, with supplementary proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript; familiarity with Java, C#, or Go is required for task diversity.
• Operate remotely with no fixed hours, providing own tools and infrastructure, and maintaining the ability to engage with other vendors or employers concurrently, subject to their policies.
• Contribute to the creation of realistic software engineering challenges used by a leading AI lab to evaluate and improve AI systems.
• Maintain professional written proficiency in English at an advanced level to produce clear specifications, feedback, and documentation.
• Adapt to evolving project requirements and deliverables across multiple domains, including backend and full-stack systems.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
• Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
