📋 Description

• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-grade software systems.
• Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
• Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
• Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specified requirements, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
• Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code, and expected outputs to maintain high-quality, production-realistic evaluation standards.
• Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to assess code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and refactoring exercises to improve code structure, readability, and performance in simulated production environments.
• Contribute to production migrations by evaluating the feasibility, risks, and implementation paths of system upgrades or architectural changes.
• Work independently on a project-based, part-time consultant basis with full control over schedule and workload.
• Deliver high-quality, validated coding tasks and structured, actionable peer review feedback to support an AI lab’s evaluation of software engineering capabilities.
• Use own tools and infrastructure; no company-provided equipment or software is provided.
• Maintain professional written proficiency in English at an advanced level for all documentation, specifications, and feedback.
• Collaborate asynchronously with global teams while adhering to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
• May simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with project obligations or confidentiality requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
