• As a Python Developer II within our Platform Engineering Solution in Bangalore, you will play a pivotal role in the Adyen network team. This team is dedicated to enabling Adyen engineers to autonomously build and support secure, scalable, and reliable applications with high speed and quality through a common technology ecosystem.
• Your primary responsibility will be to design, create, and maintain robust automations and tooling that are essential for securing, scaling, and deploying Adyen's global network infrastructure. This is a critical function that underpins the reliability and performance of our payment services worldwide.
• You will be instrumental in developing sophisticated Python projects that effectively abstract away the complexities of network implementation for our internal customers. This ensures that our engineering teams can focus on their core tasks without getting bogged down in intricate network details.
• A key aspect of this role involves ensuring the integrity and consistency of data related to our network assets and configurations. You will implement strategies and tools to maintain high standards of data validity and accuracy across our distributed systems.
• This position requires a strategic approach to design, with a strong emphasis on scalability. You will be involved in the hands-on implementation and integration of new solutions, ensuring they can grow with Adyen's rapidly expanding global operations.
• Performance monitoring will be a core part of your duties. You will create and refine monitoring solutions leveraging telemetry data and Prometheus to gain deep insights into network performance and identify potential bottlenecks or issues proactively.
• Security is paramount. You will contribute to the security posture of our network by developing tools and automations that enforce security policies and detect vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving are integral to this role. You will be expected to diagnose and resolve complex network-related issues, often under pressure, in a 24/7 operational environment.
• You will develop applications and APIs that interface directly with our network equipment, utilizing a modern tech stack including Celery, Django, FastAPI, and Temporal. This involves designing efficient and scalable APIs that facilitate seamless interaction with network hardware and software.
• Your work will involve abstracting both public and private cloud-based networking implementations, contributing to a unified and manageable network infrastructure across diverse environments.
• You will manage and enhance our network asset management tooling, ensuring accurate inventory and lifecycle management of all network components.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of real-world, hands-on experience in Python application development, API design, and Linux environments.
• Strong understanding and practical experience with Linux-based systems and their networking stack.
• Experience developing applications and APIs using Python, with familiarity with frameworks like Django, FastAPI, Celery, or Temporal.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
• Ability to work effectively in a 24/7 operational environment, make quick, informed decisions, and handle pressure.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
