📋 Description

• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-grade software systems.
• Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
• Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
• Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
• Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code, and expected outputs to maintain high-quality, production-realistic evaluation materials.
• Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to assess code quality, architecture, and maintainability in realistic software engineering scenarios.
• Participate in structured code review processes, providing actionable feedback on peer submissions to improve task quality and educational value.
• Contribute to production migrations and code refactoring efforts by designing realistic scenarios that reflect real-world engineering challenges.
• Work independently on a project-based, part-time consultant basis with full control over schedule and workload.
• Use own tools and infrastructure to complete assignments; no company-provided equipment or software is provided.
• Collaborate remotely with a global team of experts to evaluate software engineering tasks for an AI lab, ensuring technical accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
• Deliver high-quality validation artifacts including test coverage reports, reference implementations, and structured peer review feedback.
• Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, unambiguous specifications and feedback.
• Work on a per-project payment basis, with compensation determined by anticipated completion time and task complexity.
• May simultaneously provide services to other vendors or employers, provided those arrangements do not conflict with this engagement’s terms.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
