- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-grade software systems.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with production engineering standards.
- • Identify edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes in both task specifications and submitted solutions.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs across diverse codebases.
- • Work on project-based assignments with flexible scheduling, managing your own time and workflow as an independent contractor.
- • Contribute to the evaluation of realistic software engineering scenarios used by a leading AI lab to train and assess AI models.
- • Operate independently with full ownership of deliverables, providing high-quality, production-realistic coding tasks and validation artifacts.
- • Collaborate asynchronously with a global team of experts, delivering structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, unambiguous technical documentation and feedback.
- • Navigate and refactor large, complex, multi-file codebases across Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and optionally Java, C#, or Go.
- • Perform production migrations and codebase improvements under realistic constraints and quality standards.
- • Work remotely with no fixed hours, managing your own tools, environment, and workload while adhering to project deadlines.
- • Simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided their terms do not conflict with this engagement.
- • Deliver completed tasks with full test coverage, validated reference implementations, and detailed review annotations.
- • Contribute to the creation of high-fidelity software engineering datasets used to improve AI systems’ coding capabilities.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
