📋 Description
- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-realistic software engineering scenarios.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference code implementations, and expected outputs across diverse software environments.
- • Contribute to the evaluation of software engineering tasks as part of a project-based expert network supporting an AI lab’s training and assessment systems.
- • Work independently on remote, project-based assignments with full control over schedule and workflow, delivering high-quality artifacts on deadline.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to understand context, identify issues, and propose accurate fixes or enhancements.
- • Participate in code review processes by providing structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions, emphasizing quality, maintainability, and realism.
- • Perform production migrations and code refactoring tasks that reflect real-world engineering challenges and industry best practices.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, unambiguous technical documentation, specifications, and feedback.
- • Operate as an independent contractor, providing own tools and infrastructure, with no expectation of fixed hours or employer-provided equipment.
- • Engage in concurrent engagements with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements comply with their respective policies and do not conflict with project obligations.
- • Deliver complete and validated artifacts including reference implementations, test suites, and review feedback that meet rigorous quality standards for AI training datasets.
- • Adapt quickly to evolving task requirements and technical contexts across diverse codebases and programming paradigms.
- • Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team of experts to ensure consistency and accuracy in task design and evaluation standards.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
