- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-grade software systems.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict consistency between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs across all submitted work.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to assess code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- • Participate in code reviews and contribute to refactoring and production migration efforts as part of project-based evaluations.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time consultant basis with full control over schedule and workload.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-realistic software engineering tasks that simulate real-world development scenarios for an AI lab.
- • Provide structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions to improve task quality and evaluation standards.
- • Utilize Python as the primary development language, with proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript required; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go is beneficial.
- • Operate remotely with no requirement for physical office presence; all work is conducted independently using personal tools and infrastructure.
- • Accept payment on a per-project basis, with rates determined by estimated completion time and task complexity.
- • Maintain eligibility to provide services to other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with project obligations.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
