- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-grade software systems.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs across diverse software environments.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to assess code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- • Participate in code reviews and contribute to refactoring and production migration efforts as part of evaluation tasks.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time consultant basis with full control over schedule and workload.
- • Deliver high-quality, production-realistic software engineering tasks that simulate real-world development scenarios for AI lab evaluation purposes.
- • Provide structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions regarding code quality, design decisions, and testing completeness.
- • Utilize Python as the primary language, with supplementary proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript; familiarity with Java, C#, or Go is required for task diversity.
- • Operate remotely with no fixed hours, using personal tools and infrastructure to complete assigned projects.
- • Maintain professional written English proficiency to produce clear, unambiguous technical documentation and feedback.
- • Contribute to a global network of software engineering experts evaluating AI-generated code and task designs.
- • Simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements comply with their respective policies.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
