- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-grade software systems.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and edge case handling.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying ambiguities, edge cases, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs to maintain high-quality, production-realistic evaluation standards.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to assess code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- • Participate in code reviews and refactoring exercises to improve code structure, readability, and performance in simulated production environments.
- • Contribute to production migrations by designing realistic scenarios that test system resilience, backward compatibility, and deployment workflows.
- • Work independently on a project-based, part-time consultant basis with full control over schedule and workload.
- • Deliver structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions to support consistent evaluation quality across the platform.
- • Use Python as the primary language, with JavaScript/TypeScript as a secondary requirement; apply working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go when relevant to task design.
- • Provide all necessary tools and infrastructure; no company equipment is provided.
- • Maintain professional written proficiency in English for all documentation, specifications, reviews, and communications.
- • Collaborate asynchronously with a global team of contributors while adhering to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- • Simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with project obligations or confidentiality requirements.
- • Deliver robust test coverage and validation artifacts that reflect real-world software engineering challenges.
- • Produce high-quality, scalable coding tasks that accurately represent the complexity of modern software development workflows.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
