- • Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-realistic software engineering scenarios.
- • Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding challenges and expected outcomes.
- • Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and robustness.
- • Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment with specifications, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
- • Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and expected outputs across all submitted work.
- • Navigate and debug large, complex, multi-file codebases to assess code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.
- • Participate in code reviews and contribute to refactoring and production migration efforts as part of evaluated engineering tasks.
- • Operate as an independent contractor with full control over schedule, tools, and workflow while delivering high-quality outputs on a project-by-project basis.
- • Contribute to the creation of realistic software engineering evaluation content used by a leading AI lab to assess technical proficiency.
- • Maintain professional written communication in English at an advanced level to document tasks, provide feedback, and collaborate asynchronously.
- • Work remotely with no fixed hours, delivering project-based outputs according to agreed timelines and quality standards.
- • Simultaneously engage with other vendors or employers, provided such arrangements do not conflict with the terms of this engagement.
- • Deliver structured, actionable peer review feedback that helps improve the quality and realism of coding tasks submitted by other contributors.
- • Produce robust validation artifacts including test coverage reports, error logs, and implementation summaries for each completed task.
- • Adapt quickly to evolving project requirements and technical contexts across diverse codebases and programming paradigms.
- • Apply strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript to solve complex engineering problems and design scalable evaluation scenarios.
- • Leverage working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go to assess and contribute to multi-language codebases when required.
- • Demonstrate proven experience in backend or full-stack development within production systems to ensure task realism and technical accuracy.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
- • Advanced professional written proficiency in English
- • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
- • Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
- • Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
- • Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
