📋 Description

• Design and implement multi-file coding tasks focused on bug resolution, feature development, refactoring, and test generation for production-realistic software engineering scenarios.
• Write clear, precise natural-language specifications and reference implementations that accurately define coding problems and expected outcomes.
• Develop and extend comprehensive unit and integration test suites using frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing to validate code correctness and edge cases.
• Review peer-generated coding tasks for correctness, clarity, realism, and alignment between specifications, code, and expected outputs.
• Identify ambiguities, edge cases, potential failure modes, and inconsistencies in both task design and peer submissions to ensure high-quality evaluation standards.
• Ensure strict alignment between task specifications, reference implementations, and test artifacts to maintain consistency and reliability in evaluation outcomes.
• Work on project-based assignments as a remote consultant for a leading AI lab, contributing to the creation of realistic software engineering evaluation content.
• Operate independently with full control over schedule, tools, and workflow while maintaining high standards of code quality and documentation.
• Participate in production-level software engineering activities including debugging large, multi-file codebases, refactoring legacy systems, and executing production migrations.
• Collaborate asynchronously with a distributed team of experts to evaluate and improve the quality of coding tasks used in AI model training and assessment.
• Deliver structured, actionable feedback on peer submissions that highlights strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement in code design and implementation.
• Maintain professional written proficiency in English to produce clear, grammatically correct, and technically precise documentation and feedback.
• Contribute to a project-based consultant model where compensation is per-project, based on anticipated completion time, with no fixed hourly rate or guaranteed workload.
• Work remotely with no requirement to relocate; contributors may simultaneously provide services to other vendors or employers, provided those arrangements do not conflict with this role’s terms.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–7 years of professional software engineering experience
• Advanced professional written proficiency in English
• Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go
• Backend or full-stack development experience in production systems
• Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, Go testing)
• Proven ability to debug and navigate large, multi-file codebases
