- • As a Python Scraping Developer at Onhires Inc., you will play a critical role in powering the client’s market intelligence platform by building and maintaining high-volume, reliable web scraping systems that deliver accurate, real-time data to automotive industry clients across Europe and beyond. Your work directly enables data-driven decision-making for clients navigating complex market dynamics, making you a key contributor to the company’s growth and technological edge.
- • You will own the full lifecycle of scraping pipelines — from designing resilient crawlers using Playwright, Selenium, and Requests, to deploying and monitoring them in production environments, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and uptime under heavy loads. Your expertise will transform raw web data into structured, actionable intelligence while overcoming anti-bot measures and optimizing performance.
- • You will join a remote-first, international team of engineers based in Berlin and distributed globally, working within a scale-up culture that values technical excellence, ownership, and collaboration. The team is small but highly impactful, fostering close collaboration and rapid iteration on cutting-edge data extraction challenges.
- • In this role, you will deepen your mastery of advanced web scraping techniques, asynchronous systems, and DevOps practices, while gaining exposure to real-world data engineering challenges in a fast-growing tech environment. 🎯 Requirements
- • Proven, hands-on professional experience in high-volume web scraping and data extraction using Python, including building and maintaining production-grade crawlers at scale.
- • Solid understanding of HTML parsing, browser automation (Playwright, Selenium), and asynchronous programming concepts (e.g., asyncio, threading) for efficient, non-blocking data extraction.
- • Proficiency with leading web scraping frameworks such as Playwright, Scrapy, or Selenium, and experience integrating them into robust, maintainable pipelines.
- • Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, headers, cookies, and effective proxy rotation strategies to evade detection and ensure reliability.
- • Familiarity with both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) databases for storing, querying, and processing scraped data efficiently.
- • Experience with Docker for containerization, Linux environments (Ubuntu/Debian), and Git for version control and collaborative development.
- • Fluency in English (written and spoken) to communicate effectively with international team members and stakeholders.
- • Self-driven, detail-oriented mindset with a track record of taking full ownership of complex projects from conception to deployment and monitoring.
