📋 Description

• As a Python Software Engineer (GenAI) at Clario, you will play a leading role in building the next generation of AI-powered solutions for the biopharmaceutical and healthcare industries, directly contributing to improved patient outcomes and setting new industry standards through advanced agentic and multi-modal AI systems.
• You will architect, develop, and deploy robust AI-powered applications with a focus on agentic and multi-modal AI systems, leading the end-to-end development lifecycle from ideation and prototyping to deployment and monitoring in cloud environments, while collaborating with AI researchers, scientists, software developers, and product managers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• The GenAI team at Clario operates in a dynamic, mission-driven environment where you will work alongside world-class experts at the forefront of generative AI, contributing to strategic planning, technical roadmaps, and cross-functional initiatives that align with organizational goals in healthcare innovation.
• In this role, you will build and optimize data pipelines for training, evaluating, and serving AI models, implement best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and DevOps, and mentor junior engineers to foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.
• You will stay current with advancements in AI, agentic systems, cloud engineering, and drive their adoption within the team, while contributing to the deployment and operationalization of models using technologies such as Amazon SageMaker or Bedrock in Kubernetes-based environments on AWS.
• Your work will involve developing and maintaining APIs in Python using frameworks like FastAPI, working with relational and vector databases, and applying strong understanding of cloud architectures and DevOps practices (AWS and GitLab CI/CD preferred) to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
• You will lead complex technical projects, solve challenging problems, and communicate effectively across teams, combining strong technical expertise with a passion for innovation and emerging technologies to advance Clario’s GenAI capabilities.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record of building cloud solutions (AWS or similar platforms)
• Strong proficiency in Python or other programming languages such as Go
• Experience developing and maintaining APIs in Python using frameworks such as FastAPI
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating backend services in Kubernetes-based environments
• Experience working with relational databases and vector databases
• Experience serving and operationalizing models in cloud environments using technologies such as Amazon SageMaker or Bedrock
• Strong understanding of cloud architectures and DevOps practices (AWS and GitLab CI/CD preferred)
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and mentor other engineers
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Strong commitment to code quality, security, scalability, and performance
• Passion for innovation and staying current with emerging technologies
