📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications used by university partners to deliver online learning experiences.
• Write and execute automated test scripts using industry-standard tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright to validate functionality, performance, and user experience across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and UX teams to define test strategies, identify edge cases, and ensure quality standards are met before each release.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback loops.
• Monitor test results, analyze failures, and provide detailed bug reports with steps to reproduce, screenshots, and logs to support efficient resolution by development teams.
• Maintain and update existing test suites to reflect changes in application features, UI, and business logic, ensuring test coverage remains comprehensive and accurate.
• Advocate for quality assurance best practices across the engineering organization, promoting test-driven development and shift-left testing methodologies.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives to align QA automation efforts with product roadmaps and delivery timelines.
• Conduct regression testing cycles to ensure new features do not introduce regressions in existing functionality across supported browsers and devices.
• Document test processes, automation standards, and troubleshooting guides to enable knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.
• Work closely with DevOps to ensure test environments are stable, reproducible, and mirror production conditions as closely as possible.
• Evaluate and recommend new testing tools, libraries, or frameworks that improve test reliability, speed, or maintainability.
• Support end-to-end testing of integrations between Noodle’s platform and third-party systems such as LMS, payment gateways, and identity providers.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG) and data privacy regulations in automated test scenarios.
• Provide metrics and reports on test coverage, pass/fail rates, and defect trends to stakeholders to inform product quality decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one programming language used for test automation (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java)
• Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Ability to write clear, maintainable, and reusable test code
• Experience testing web and mobile applications across multiple browsers and devices
