📋 Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for cloud-native microservices architectures using modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate directly with multiple engineering squads to integrate automated testing into the software development lifecycle, ensuring quality is built in from the start.
  • Transition legacy manual testing processes into scalable, AI-assisted automated testing workflows that reduce regression cycles and improve release velocity.
  • Implement end-to-end, integration, and unit tests using industry-standard tools and languages such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Jest, or similar frameworks.
  • Work within a remote-first environment to support global engineering teams based in the United States and Europe, ensuring clear communication and alignment on quality standards.
  • Partner with developers to identify high-risk areas in the codebase and prioritize test coverage for critical user journeys and business-critical features.
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to enhance test generation, flaky test detection, and test maintenance efficiency across multiple platforms and environments.
  • Monitor test execution results, analyze failure patterns, and provide actionable insights to improve system reliability and reduce production incidents.
  • Maintain and evolve test data management strategies to support parallel testing across staging, pre-production, and production-like environments.
  • Document automated testing processes, frameworks, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and onboarding efficiency across teams.
  • Stay current with emerging trends in quality engineering, including AI-driven testing, shift-left practices, and observability-driven quality assurance.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives as an integral member of agile development teams.
  • Ensure test automation aligns with security, compliance, and performance requirements for enterprise-grade applications serving international clients.
  • Advocate for quality culture by mentoring junior engineers and promoting testability as a shared responsibility across engineering disciplines.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing tooling, infrastructure, and reporting dashboards to increase team productivity and visibility into quality metrics.

🎯 Requirements

  • Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer with hands-on development of automated test frameworks for cloud-native applications
  • Strong proficiency in at least one programming language used for test automation (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Java, C#)
  • Demonstrated experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
  • Experience with testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar for web and API testing
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-time-zone environment with U.S. and European teams
  • Fluent written and spoken English for technical collaboration and documentation
