📋 Description

• Play a critical role in ensuring software quality and reliability through a balanced approach of 50% manual testing and 50% test automation within the iGaming platform.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret business and technical requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage across Casino, Sportsbook, Lottery, and Fantasy products.
• Analyze functional and non-functional requirements to design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks and scripts using tools such as Playwright and Cucumber.
• Execute and analyze automated test suites to identify defects, report issues, and recommend process improvements.
• Perform manual testing for complex scenarios, edge cases, or functionalities where automation is impractical or inefficient.
• Document, maintain, and update test plans, test cases, and test reports to ensure traceability and audit readiness.
• Advocate for and implement testing best practices across the QA team and broader engineering organization.
• Assist in root cause analysis of defects and collaborate directly with developers to debug and resolve issues efficiently.
• Support the transition from manual to automated testing by mentoring team members and promoting adoption of automation standards.
• Work within Agile SDLC cycles and integrate testing activities into CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitLab, and related tools.
• Utilize Jira and Xray or similar tools for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Conduct performance testing using JMeter or K6 where applicable to validate system stability under load.
• Leverage AI development assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, or OpenAI Codex to enhance test script development and automation efficiency.
• Maintain a detail-oriented approach to identify subtle defects and ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to align on quality goals and timelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methodologies in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment.
• Engage with a globally distributed team across Europe and Latin America, supporting a scalable iGaming platform with 75+ game providers and 15,000+ games.
• Work in a hybrid model that combines regular in-person collaboration in Bucharest with remote flexibility.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years in QA, including 2+ years in test automation
• Experience with automation tools such as Playwright and Cucumber
• Proficient in JavaScript or a similar programming language
• Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies
• Hands-on experience with Git, GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with MySQL/MariaDB and REST API testing
