📋 Description

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for digital signage hardware and proprietary content management systems used in global Quick Service Restaurant environments.
• Perform manual and automated testing across multiple platforms including embedded systems, web interfaces, and mobile applications that power in-store and drive-thru customer interactions.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and hardware teams to identify, document, and track defects through resolution using JIRA or equivalent issue tracking systems.
• Validate software updates and firmware releases against functional requirements, performance benchmarks, and usability standards in real-world deployment scenarios.
• Conduct regression testing after each sprint to ensure existing functionality remains intact following new feature deployments.
• Participate in agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to ensure QA priorities align with development timelines.
• Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) to automate repetitive test processes and improve test coverage efficiency.
• Monitor and analyze test results to identify patterns, root causes of failures, and areas for process improvement in the QA lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards for digital signage systems, including accessibility, security, and reliability requirements across 50+ global markets.
• Document test procedures, create user-facing bug reports with clear reproduction steps, and maintain up-to-date test documentation in shared repositories.
• Work closely with global teams across nine international offices to coordinate testing efforts for synchronized product releases.
• Perform compatibility testing across diverse hardware configurations, operating systems, and network environments encountered in real-world restaurant deployments.
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by training internal stakeholders and external partners on test scenarios and expected outcomes.
• Proactively identify potential edge cases and failure modes in customer-facing digital experiences, particularly those involving touchscreens, payment systems, and real-time content updates.
• Maintain a high standard of quality assurance across all phases of the product lifecycle—from initial prototype to full-scale global rollout.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on QA engineering experience in hardware-software integrated systems
• Proven experience with automated testing frameworks and scripting for test automation
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and issue tracking tools like JIRA
• Experience testing embedded systems, digital signage, or IoT devices in real-world environments
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and quality assurance best practices
